Blasts

Blasts let you send a broadcast message to multiple leads at once — perfect for promotions, event reminders, or re-engagement campaigns.

Blasts only go to leads who have given PDPA consent (opt-in). Leads who have replied STOP or never opted in are automatically excluded.

Creating a Blast

  1. Go to Blasts in the sidebar
  2. Click New Blast
  3. Choose your audience — filter by pipeline stage, tag, or segment. You can combine filters (e.g., all leads tagged “interested” in the “Follow-up” stage)
  4. Write your message — plain text with optional variables like {name} and {property_name}. Aria previews the message with a sample lead so you can check how it looks
  5. Schedule or send — send immediately, or pick a date and time. Scheduled blasts can be cancelled before they fire

Blast Analytics

After a blast goes out, the analytics card shows three numbers:

Replies flow back into your normal lead conversations — Aria picks up the thread and continues the sales flow automatically.

A single blast can go to any number of leads within your contact limit — the limit is on how many times you can send a blast per month, not how many recipients.

PDPA Compliance

Blasts follow the same compliance rules as all Aria messages:

  • Only sent to leads with active opt-in consent
  • Every blast includes an unsubscribe footer (“Reply STOP to unsubscribe”)
  • Opt-outs are processed immediately and permanently
  • Your blast history is retained in the audit log for 7 years

Tips for Effective Blasts

  • Keep it short — WhatsApp messages over 200 characters get lower read rates
  • Personalise — messages with {name} get 2-3x higher reply rates
  • Time it right — Malaysian audiences respond best between 10am-12pm and 7pm-9pm
  • Follow up — after a blast, check your leads page for new replies within 24 hours
